Amanda Berres
Amanda is a Texas native who grew up cheering, tumbling, and dancing. She was a member of the Coppell High School Dance Team and also participated in competitive cheerleading. Throughout high school and college, she taught competitive cheer to 2nd-grade students and led recreational dance classes for preschool through 1st grade.
She attended Abilene Christian University, where she continued her passion for dance and earned a bachelor’s degree in education. With over 16 years of teaching experience, Amanda has taught preschool, kindergarten, and 2nd grade. At SMDAC, she has instructed acro, middle school technique, and lyrical dance classes.
Currently, Amanda teaches kindergarten at Lake Marion Elementary. Outside of the classroom and studio, she enjoys working out, baking, crafting, and spending time with her husband, Adam, and their three daughters—Adelyn, Ansley, and Austyn. She cherishes being part of the SMDAC family and finds great joy in watching young dancers grow and thrive.
