Lindsey Stone
COMPETITIVE INSTRUCTOR
Lindsey Carter Stone has had numerous years of dance experience. She trained at Larkin Dance Studio in Maplewood, MN for 15 years. The styles she studied include jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, pointe, contemporary and modern. Lindsey was a part of many production large groups, small groups, duets, trios, and solos at Larkin, winning numerous national titles and awards. After high school she moved to Tempe, Arizona in 2001 and attended Arizona State University for two years majoring in Broadcast Journalism and was a member of the ASU Sun Devil Dance Team. In 2003 she transferred back home to the University of Minnesota and danced her way onto the Universal Dance Association National Champion University of Minnesota Dance Team.
Lindsey received her BA degree in Communication Studies from the U of M in 2005. Lindsey was the assistant coach for the state champion Eastview Lightning Varsity Dance Team from 2005-2009. She won the MSHSL Assistant Coach of the year award in 2009. Lindsey has been with SMDAC since 2006 teaching competitive lines, small groups, solos and duets. Along with teaching at the studio, she also assists with coaching the Lakeville Starliners Middle School Dance Team. Lindsey and her husband Justin have been married since 2009. They have a daughter Audrey, son Owen, and reside in Lakeville.
